More Gift Ideas For Tea Lovers

As soon as someone finds out you love tea, bam! You end up with a cupboard full of all the fun flavours and brands friends and family have come across on their travels. At our location at Granary Road, I often hear from customers about their overflowing tea cupboards and drawers. This year, consider giving them a tea-related Christmas gift without adding to their bursting collections. We have some great ideas for you!

Stocking Stuffers and Small Gifts (Under $20)

One of my favourite infusers is this cat and his fish. Available in black and white, these adorable infusers are wonderful gift ideas for your cat-loving, tea-crazy friends. The attached cat perches perfectly on the side of your mug so you don't have to scoop the fish out with a spoon when you're finished infusing. Cute!

If you love to make things for your friends for Christmas, there's tons of different gift ideas on Pinterest. How about a beaded tea bag holder or a crocheted cup holder? Or maybe some bath teas? Check out our Pinterest board for some great tea-related DIY gift ideas.

Did you know that you can grow your own tea ingredients? If your tea-loving friend has a green thumb, these cool little kits are awesome.

These infographic tea towels from Uncommon Goods make a great hostess gift.

Gifts (Over $20)

We absolutely adore the "But first, tea" sign from local company Inspired Findings. Meryl's signs are hand painted and would fit in so well on a tea cart, in a kitchen, or in a tea-lover's office. There's a coffee version too. We have the "But first, tea" sign and an adorable "Pinkies Up" sign in store at Granary Road.

For the serious tea aficionado, the Tea and Herbal Association of Canada offers online or in person Tea Sommelier courses on a variety of different topics. They occasionally have one-off webinars to take part in as well.

There's some fantastic books out there on a variety of topics for a tea lover's bookshelf. You can gift them a beautiful reference book, or some tips and recipes on planning the perfect vintage-inspired party. How about a book about making kombucha, a fermented tea drink? This would be great paired with the next gift on the list.

Kombucha is so popular right now, and a lot of tea drinkers are jumping on the fermented tea bandwagon. If your favourite tea lover also loves kombucha, you can help them make their own at home with a kombucha kit.

tea tray by magenta homeIf your favourite tea fan is also your significant other, breakfast in bed during a stressful holiday season is a great gift. Cook up something delicious and special (pancakes, anyone?) and serve it on a beautiful handmade tray with tea in their favourite mug. The tray can be used in your kitchen or as home decor afterwards. We are lucky to have Magenta Home with us at Granary Road, and their one-of-a-kind reclaimed wood trays are stunning.
